Arriving at Coolangatta from Sydney after just over an hour with the Jetstar 'team'. They were OK I have to admit, but it certainly felt weird when they came through the aisle offering food and drink for sale !

We got dropped off in a maxi cab at the Sofitel Gold Coast, read my review of them here!!. Pictured above is the Gold Coast Convention centre in the background, its a pretty crappy pic but meh....

So after sorting out the rooms we headed off to the Convention centre and

had a BIG welcome to Tech-Ed 2005. We thought it was going to take hours to register because of

and ...

there was alot of people waiting to register, but through our contacts we managed to slip past this...

through to

the mountains of badges that you ...

After that we went for a short roam around the convention...

and read our 'Premier' Welcome Kit LoL. Anyway after such a long tiring day

we really need some rest so we headed back to the hotel rooms to chill out and settle in for the ....

'xBox party' later that night...

As you can see it was a pretty happening party lol!

but those steering wheels look alot better than they actually are...

*** Watch this die hard Xboxer go!! ***

Then some super nerd won a Halo2 competition, which was pretty boring lol.

The next morning we got stuck right into the 'meat' of tech-ed, right after the hearty breakfast back at the Sofitel, damn that egg chef was good..

Seminar after Seminar

*** and even some one on one action ***

and a bit of lunch inbetween...

and I have to admit the food at teched was quite good

Sadly it was very unevenly distributed >.<

Geez that was probably the gut of the convention.....

after lunch people 'relaxed' and some took to the remote control car competition

for that extra geek touch the cars were controlled by the HP Ipaq 6535

Here's the 'lead' programmer for that new game on the Steam platform called Dystopia, the fella behind obviously can't handle getting owned in games!

After all that we headed out to Surfers Paradise....

were we ended up at Shooters and....

watched a very entertaining show.

All the excitement from the night before had us ready and raring to go, so while some of us took exams....

Others ran around looking at the non nerds of Tech-Ed

Almost made me want to buy a shirt but when we saw the line....

We thought it best to keep snapping some ladies..

Sadly we had to go to yet another seminar...

But thats OK coz after that we went to MovieWorld and did pretty much what you do at Movie World

Before we knew it (well not really the week took bloody ages to end) it was all over, so from all of us...

good bye Tech-Ed, till next time, we'll miss the geeks!
